- AccuWeather.INC which is the world‘s popular weather forecasting company launched its AccuWeather API in collaboration with API3, the leading first party oracle solution, which enables Web API providers to offer accurate weather data directly on-chain. Moreover, the deal enabled API3 to provide the most accurate weather forecast to benefit the users. The partnership of the AccuWeather with API3 created opportunities to control its own oracle node which serves data to end users.
- The Weather Company, acquired by IBM and Francisco Partners, a global investment firm that specialized in partnering with technology enabled businesses, signed a definitive agreement in which Francisco Partners that will acquire the weather company assets from IBM. The assets included digital consumer facing offerings, cloud based digital properties such as Weather.com and storm radar. In addition, Weather Company would also bring its forecasting and technology platform to Francisco Partners.
