- Kemira's recently created bio-based polyacrylamide polymer is already being produced to full capacity. For testing, the first commercial volumes were sent to Helsinki Regional Environmental Services' sewage treatment facility. According to the manufacturer, the polymer has the same technical characteristics as its conventional counterpart and is soluble in water. It can be applied in the energy sector as well as potentially in extremely demanding paper applications, in addition to the water treatment industry and other water-intensive industries.
- SUEZ is pleased to announce the signing of two new, noteworthy contracts in the waste and water sectors, which will help China achieve its goal of being carbon neutral by 2060. Through the construction of a new water treatment plant, SUEZ and its longstanding partner in Chongqing are working to strengthen the resilience of the city's water supply infrastructure. The Group is starting its first plastics recovery project in China in Shanghai.
